Divorce Is Final for Katy Perry and Russell Brand

They say it ain’t over ’til it’s over. Well, it’s ovah.

The divorce is final for Katy Perry and Russell Brand (that was fast) – and it’s a pretty amicable settlement: there won’t be a trial.

Under terms of the settlement Russell won’t be receiving spousal support even though he is entitled to as the couple – who were married on October 10, 2010 – had no pre-nup in place. Katy is seeking to legally restore her maiden name to Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, though.

According to legal documents obtained by Radar Online, “The parties have entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party. Respondent’s [Katy's] former name be restored to Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson.”

And check this out – Katy signed the court documents with a smiley face next to her name!
